Although it was Saturday, Jiang Cheng still woke up around the same time as usual. When he went downstairs to buy breakfast, he also jogged two laps along the nearby street in passing.

The two of them sat in the shop in silence. Jiang Cheng couldn’t tell what Gu Fei was thinking, but he knew for sure that he himself wasn’t thinking of anything – he was just stunned. His mind was churning but he didn’t know what it was even churning about. 

When it almost reached 9:00 o’clock, Gu Fei stood up from his seat: “Let’s go. Do you want me to take you back?”

The fried rice cakes were indeed delicious. When it came to finding inconspicuous but delightful food, Jiang Cheng felt that Gu Fei’s skills had been maxed out.  

Having cried to his heart’s content, done perverted things – although that matter shouldn’t be recalled in detail – had his stomach fed to the fullest, and bought all the things he was in need of, Jiang Cheng hiccupped as they made their way out of the small rice cake shop, feeling a lot more at ease.

Gu Fei rode to the front, keeping a distance from him at an unhurried pace. Jiang Cheng sometimes felt that Gu Fei’s keen observation ability and high EQ that prevented him from being too inquisitive about other people’s matters really irked him.

Gu Fei took the self-reflection paper that Jiang Cheng had given him for the second time and unfolded it, and only after carefully determining that the name written above was ‘Gu Fei’ and not ‘Wang Xu’ or some other person, did he start to read it out loud once more: “I am Gu Fei, from Second Year Class 8’s. As a student of Si Zhong, I had uh… building…?  … repeatedly violated the school’s what now… school rules. Being late is… is a uh… terrible mistake. Not only was I late, but I had also sat on the wall… uh, climbed. Climbed over the wall, which only added to… to my mistake…”
