After work, Xia Yao walked out from the main entrance into a nearby store to buy a cigarette.

“One Yuxi [1], please.”

([1] Yuxi cigarette: 1 Yuxi = approximately $43)

The salesperson turned and grabbed a pack of cigarette from the cabinet behind and hand it over to Xia Yao. While he was counting the change, a customer stepped into the store. The salesperson’s eyes moved imperceptibly from the surface of the counter to the new guest before suddenly gleaming with nervousness.

Just imagine something intimidating coming into your view out of the blue. Then, one would understand why the salesperson trembled with fear.

“Can…can I help you?”

“A packet of cigarette like his.”

A warm low-pitched male voice rose, shattering the ponderous quietness lingering over the three people. The salesperson hurriedly turned away to take another packet of cigarette down.

Xia Yao gave the guest standing next to him a sharp glance.

This man was about 1.9 meters in height, with a strong build hidden inside baggy black clothes. Hooded eyes extending to his temple, combined with a straight nose, which appeared to have been intricately handcrafted. Below the longish face was the steadfast chin making up a masculine Adonis.

Yuan Zong was also observing Xia Yao from the corner of his eyes.

The face of the person beside him was oozing with testosterone. His long narrow eyes was lined with thick lashes at the top and bottom, making it open up his pitch black eyes and revealing those alluring iris. The inner and outer corners of his eyes are slightly slanted up, making others feel somewhat breathless. Although his facial lines illustrated a tough man, his eyes and pure white skin, created an image of a person that was refined and sexy.

Having received his change, Xia Yao felt a sudden urge to run away.

“Hey handsome, don’t forget to take your packet.” The salesman shouted from behind.

Xia Yao was about to return when a powerful, dark shadow flashed by him, grabbed the cigarette pack, pulled his collar open, and tucked it inside. Yuan Zong’s speed was incredibly unbelievable. Xia Yao had barely said “thank you” when he was thrown into his car. Xia Yao stretched his hand down his back, intending to pull the cigarette pack out, but realized he couldn’t.

“Fuck!” Xia Yao silently cursed, why the hell did he have to tuck it down so low?

At this point, Xia Yao was forced to ruin his image as he undoes his button up shirt, exposing a pristine white back.

On the way home, Xia Yao instantly felt that the atmosphere trenched with a danger aura.

It was 7pm, the peak of traffic jams and people were travelling constantly.  Xia Yao lowered the car’s window, trying to breathe in some fresh air but instead he was met with darkened eyes, looking at him from the opposite window. Those eyes gleamed like they meant to judge Xia Yao, staring at him for the whole journey.

There was a shade of surprise in Xia Yao’s mind. It turned out to be the man he bumped into earlier. How did he drive without looking at the road? Why is he observing me? Xia Yao cursed silently, but still managed to wave with a radiant smile on his face.

(Yeah, Xia Yao…I wonder why he’s staring at you? :v :V :V).

Having said so, he immediately closed the window, not looking to the side any more.

In the end, this threatening air followed Xia Yao home. Only after he looked around to make sure that no one was there, Xia Yao finally step inside.

A few days later, Yuan Zong came back for Xia Yao. He did nothing apart from staring at him. Even when Xia Yao intentionally glared at him, he still didn’t look away. Xia Yao was a policeman, which meant he is extremely aware of his surroundings. Normally, he was never afraid of anyone. He was used to judging the level of danger since he had faced off with thugs carrying guns, taken down drug traffickers who hid in the mountains and many more. From his appearance, Xia Yao had been competing for many years. He has also met larger and stronger men.

But none has ever made him feel helpless or turned his legs to jelly.
(Boy oh boy :)))) Yuan Zong can also make those toes of yours curl with ecstasy)

How did you picture Yuan Zong? Does Xu Feng live up to your expectations?

Once he finished his conversation, the hill myna begins to rap out:

“Greeting! How are you? Prosperity! Prosperity! I wanna give you a kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss kiss…”

Peng Ze roams the room, poking around in search of that unusual voice. In the end, in adjacent to the window, he manages to discover a small black bird, with soulful sparkling eyes, trying to hold up its delicate head while continuously opening and closing its tiny beak.

“Hey! What an amusing bird!” Peng Ze enthusiastically complimented.

“What an amusing bird!” The little myna mimics.

Peng Ze laughed out loud. The myna also stretched up its neck, letting out sounds of laughter, “Hahaha.”

Peng Ze played around with the bird for a while before turning to Xiao Ya and returning to the main topic once again, “Please! Listen to me for once. Just come and join the fun. Besides, I already told Dou Sensei that I’ll persuade you to go to the party no matter what.”

Even then, Xia Yao did not turn a hair.

“Yuan Ru will also be there,” Peng Ze gently emphasizes.

Consequently, the reference to the name just adds fuel to the flames. It was better off not mentioning it.

“What on earth are you thinking?” Peng Ze powerlessly replied. “Southwest Chinese girls are sweet, gentle and well-mannered, just as you wish. How about giving her a ring?”

Xiao Ya reaches out for his ATM card, “This dinner is on the house. My treat. By the way, send my regards to Dou Sensei. Say that I’m completely done in. Maybe next time.”

“I’m begging you…I’d do anything, I’ll even call you grandpa.” Peng Ze’s face fell.

“Hey you!” Hill myna hastily reverts at the top of his voice.

Xiao Ya giggles, patting Peng Ze’s shoulder before going for a stroll with his bird’s cage in hand.

Far from being eccentric, Xia Yao appears to be impertinent, owing to his habit to greet elders.

“Mr. Wang. Are you having a brisk walk after the meal?”

“Yep. It’s good for my digestion.”

Most of the seniors in the neighborhood had a very deep affection for Xia Yao who was the son of a prestigious family and knew how to properly orchestrate his affairs. Not to mention his attractive stature, courageous enthusiasm and his well-behaved character.

In regards to his love affair, Xia Yao is a competent guy with conscience and manliness. However, his lust is suppressed by his own moral abstention. Much as Xiao Ya loves the social gatherings, he tended to back away from sexual treat with women of all kinds. Some even say that he is slow while others say he suffers from frigidity or he is just simply a homesexual…

But the truth is, Xia Yao has a dark past he never wishes to reveal.

During his high school years, Xia Yao was just like any other average boy, curious about life and absolutely attracted to the opposite sex. One day, no longer able to prevent himself from the temptation anymore, he opened a video call to chat with xxx.

Unfortunately, he met with a mentally defeated son of a bitch.

The person on the other side of the camera was a man with skin as fair as snow and legs that went for miles. The man zoned the camera towards the lower half of his body and crossed his legs to hide his “little brother”. This action made his body look no different from that of a girl’s. While smoking a cigarette, he patiently watched Xia Yao disrobe.

(I should say now that this “man” who tricked Xia Yao is the main character in Miss Chai’s other danmei after this book. I can’t tell you guys too much in case I spoil anything, but I have got to say, the sequel was one of the funniest books I’ve ever read. ???✌?️)

Xia Yao’s blood red eyes saw the “bush” that laid between ‘her’ legs, making him imagine all types of xxx.

Clack clack clack, a line appeared on the screen, “…open your legs for me baby”

The reply was, “Okay, but you can’t close your eyes. I will do a magic trick for you.”

Thinking about it, Xia Yao almost reached his limits. He was just minutes away from climaxing.

Three numbers then appeared on the screen, “One, two, three!”

Xia Yao never blinked his eyes.

And then, the ‘girl’ opened her legs.

Since then, the experience has always been a lurking ghost in Xia Yao’s mind.

If other men saw a woman showing off their long legs, they will all get turned on and wish to rip the remaining clothes off the woman’s body, but  Xia Yao would just want to kill somebody. He had made a promise to himself that if he ever met that man again, he would personally cut off his balls and dick. That way, the man can finally achieve his dream of becoming a girl.

Chapter 4 – Please be my matchmaker

Xia Yao was having a leisure walk with his hill myna by the river when a strange car suddenly pulled up. As he turns for a glance, an attractive northeastern beauty came out of the vehicle and confidently met his gaze.

Adorning her silhouette was an aquamarine gown which exposed the shoulders perfectly. Her long, wavy hair, flowed at the back, displaying the image of a mature woman’s graceful and beauty. The most outstanding feature was underneath the slit of her skirt, exposing pure white legs that ran for miles in attempt to seduce Xia Yao.

Frankly, no men on earth has the power to resist the seduction drawn from this lady. But…sadly, Xia Yao belonged to the 0.01% that was an exception to this enticement.

“Young Master Xia, I especially prepared your drinks for you at the party, why didn’t you come?”

“I’m not interested!” Xia Yao’s face hardened in rebuff.

“Are you avoiding me?” Yuan Ru sidled up to Xia Yao, intentionally showing a few more inches of her legs.

“Not at all.” Xia Yao turned back once he finished answering her.

Yuan Ru hurriedly chased behind, “I am asking you! Don’t go!”

Xia Yao sneered at Yuan Ru with a cutting remark, “Has the gown’s slit reached your armpit yet?”

Yuan Ru failed to feel self-conscious, instead, she lasciviously ridiculed,
“Don’t you think it’s sexy?”

(Girl! You better just give up. It won’t be of any use trying to show him your legs because he’s allergic to them ???)

Then she intentionally pulled up her dress, showing off those salivating long legs.
Xia Ya stepped backwards with the intention to stay away from Yuan Ru as far as possible.

Yuan Ru tried to catch up, Xia Yao drove into a small alley. She finally gave up when her vehicle could no longer fit the area that Xia Yao disappeared to.

“Brother, I’m falling for a guy, again”.

The word “again” made it obvious that this situation had occurred before.

“But…I’m not able to gain his love. Please make him like me. You are the only trustworthy man who can help me.”

Yuan Zong’s expression darkened.

“He is the great grandson of a prominent ancestry who has contributed to the revolution.”

Yuan Zong’s face still held the same expression.

“The guy is good-looking, absolutely courageous and doesn’t have any bad habits at all. Plus, he’s single. Tell me, where can you find such a man? Other than your own younger sister, who else can hull in that type of man?.”

Not having received any answer from Yuan Zong, Yuan Ru bursts out, “Just say something already!”.

“Mind your own business.”

A thought suddenly occurred to Yuan Ru the instant she heard her brother, “He has a heart of steel. No matter how seductive a woman may be, he doesn’t even bat an eye. Other men has always been satisfied with just a glance at my legs. But, he is the only exception.”

Again, there were no reaction from Yuan Zong.

“What does that prove? Are you trying to convince me that this stranger is actually trustworthy?”

Yuan Ru continued to dragged on with her plead, “Big brother! Please help me! I can assure that you will be pleased with him at first glance.”

Yuan Ru and Yuan Zong – Brother and sister

??????? gaahhhhh!! Xu Feng!! Yuan Zong!! You’ll be the death of me ??? =>>> if you wonder what my “ideal” man looks like…you’ve found him ???

Chapter 1 – Kickboxing Championship

Translator: @anhnguyen12332

Editor: Sae

Once a year, a free fighting tournament is held at the Beijing stadium between China and the United States’ police force.

“Yesterday, we conducted the elimination round and after many grueling matches, sixteen contestants have been chosen for the final.” One by one, the host announced the names of the remaining contestant, “Joy, Zhou Huaqiang, Brown, Dai Gao Gao, Xia Yao, Andersen…”

Sixteen uniformed policemen consisting of eight Chinese, eight Americans strutted onto the ring. They stood sternly facing each other and bowed at an acute angle. Third in line on the United States team was Brown. He bent at a ninety degrees angle and silently assessed his opponent – Xia Yao –  from head to crotch before a perverted but discreet smile played on his lips.

The gunfire signaled the beginning of the contest whereas two contestants would go head to head and the winner of each round would advance to the next fight.

This annual kickboxing competition was considered a meeting between the East and the West and its respective martial arts. It was known by now that the Chinese police tend to focus on their fierce leg movements to take down an enemy, while Americans utilize their fists to deliver the killing blows. In this kind of competition, Brown was celebrated as one of the best.

First match was Brown against Zhou Huaqiang. Entering into the first battle, Brown immediately overpowered Zhou Huaqiang with a simple kick that left Huaqiang sprawling on the ground. In just a few minutes, Brown smoothly showed off his moves which gained an occasional applause from the audience. For the first round, Brown took the win without much difficulty.

After seven fierce matches, eight contestants remained, three of which were Americans and five Chinese. Amongst the Chinese contestants, Xia Yao remained a strong contender.

The second round started, and this time the Chinese team selected a real power fighter – Zhang Wenlong. At the beginning of the match, Zhang Wenlong swooped a swift kick onto Brown’s head even then said person did not react. Instead, he took hold of his opponent’s ankle and twisted it to the ground. After a minute of resting time, both sides went back to the ring. This time, Zhang Wenlong decided to use his secret techniques by continuously raining blows onto Brown’s head, unfortunately as before, Brown remained unresponsive. In just minutes, Brown was able to catch his opponent off guard, mercilessly kicking him in the knees. Injured to the point that he could no longer continue, Wenlong was disqualified.

The second match ended with only four people remaining. Now, one American and three Chinese, one of which included Xia Yao who stood at the sideline.

With the third round just starting, it was lucky that Xia Yao had not been partnered up with Brown yet.

While Brown was in the ring, Xia Yao stood on the sidelines, listening to other workers chat.

“Hey, that American is really powerful. Our policemen all look like little baby chicks standing next to him.”

“All of our good fighters were eliminated by him already but the remaining three doesn’t seem too bad!”

“Ah, motherfucker! That dude has just been taken down!”

“Stand up! Stand up! Fuck, he can’t even crawl up.”

The whistle sounded. Brown won.

As the third round came to a gruesome end, only two contestants still standing. Brown and Xia Yao.

The semi-finals finally became the final match.

The entire stadium broke out in cheers and shouts, though of course, the Chinese were much louder than those of the United States. Although the home team dominated the audience, no one dared to breath a sigh of relief because the enemy was quite formidable

In no time, the two contestants climbed into the fighting ring. Under the illuminating spotlight, Brown’s figure was sculpted to scream strength and power, reminding people of Lam Giao Dau and Thuy Hu who have powers to conquer mountains, kill beasts, dominate ten thousand men, and exulting overpowering skills. Standing opposite him was Xia Yao, whose spine remained as straight as a pine, with a high nose, thin lips, and beautiful eminent eyes, totally contrasting your average fighter.

The two sides exchanged a friendly handshake. Xia Yao laughed blandly; it was the kind of laugh that made his opponent feel at ease.

It seemed as if the two were waiting, baiting and preparing for an all out war. It was the calm before a storm. Then without warning, they both charged at each other with aggressive determination. They threw themselves at each other with fast paced kicks, highly trained techniques, attacking and defending, hit after hit.

Brown swung his legs up, aiming a death blow that was extremely accurate and frightening. Xia Yao flipped to one side and delivered his own kick the moment his body landed. Then soaring higher, he launched a double attacks. He mirrored a panther, aiming for Brown’s head. This sly movement beckoned thunderous screams from the spectators. (The fighting scenes sounds so unrealistic :))) )

If there was only one word to describe Xia Yao’s techniques, it was “beautiful”. Punching, jumping up, backing up…every move morphed together was incalculable, extremely powerful but majestic at the same time. Not only does it captured the audience’s eyes but also awed Brown himself.

The fight entered a cliff-hanger stage, where Xia Yao took the upper hand, throwing out precise hits at his opponent. He used his own body weight to deftly bring down Brown’s 115 kg, beating him until the whole stadium erupted in cheers.

“One minute … two minutes …” The umpire started the timer.

Xia Yao utilized his elbow to plant Brown’s chest to the floor. As time approached the three minutes mark, Brown suddenly arched his chest. Xia Yao had to lean his body forward, trying his best to prevent the enemy from overturning. Brown got hold of this opportunity to grab Xia Yao’s nape and pulled him down.

And then…

Brown placed a wet kiss on Xia Yao’s lips. In just one second, whispered reverberated from the audience. Xia Yao was pushed to his breaking point.

The referee blew the whistle. The award finally belonged to Xia Yao. A vibration of applause rocked through the stadium, but Xia Yao did not pay attention at all as he turned towards Brown with a determined desire for vengeance. Within seconds, bombarded punches after punches that were as quick as bullet onto the man’s smug face. This time, it was even more intense as if he wanted to kill the opponent.

The referee ran over to cease the fight, “The fight has ended, haven’t you had enough?”

It was only then that Xia Yao moved to stand up. Then, being the good sportsman that he is, he offered Brown a hand.

“You’re very handsome!” Brown exclaimed.

Xia Yao casted a friendly smile, and whispered something that only they could hear, “I am-not-gay- you motherfucker!”

(“I’m not gay” was in English and “motherfucker” was in Chinese)

Chapter 50: Why does it hit him unexpectedly?

Translator: Sienna7455

Tonight is a full moon, the lamps were already turned off, yet everything inside the room was still clear.

Two people were squeezed together in the bed, Gu Hai was sleeping nearby the window, when he inclined his head, he could directly see the moon hanging from the treetops.

“The moon festival is only two days away.” Bai Luoyin reminisced.

Gu Hai casted a glance towards Bai Luoyin, his face was half-bright and half-dark, the moonlight softened the curves of his face. On normal days, his eyes are always cold and sharp, at this moment, they finally rested and the speed of his blinks had started to slow down, he often fixed his eyes on a corner, watching quietly.

“Why does the homeroom teacher look for you today?”

“How does your family celebrate the moon festival?”

The two questions, which were asked at the same time, caused the atmosphere of the room to become slightly awkward.

Gu Hai was waiting for Bai Luoyin’s reply while plotting an answer in his mind, he realized that it is quite difficult to hide the truth of his status like this. There cannot be a more suitable phrase for his current predicament than ‘tell a lie once and you will tell countless more lies to cover the first one’. He feared that he can’t stop the day where Bai Luoyin spotted a clue regarding this matter, and when that moment comes, the aftermath will definitely become more serious.

Moreover, it was impossible for him to hide in this place all his life.

Even if he doesn’t return and find Gu Wei Ting, Gu Wei Ting do everything possible to get him back.

If he doesn’t resist, then his identity will be exposed right away; if he fight back, it will become the talk of the town and his identity will be completely revealed.

Therefore, no matter which path he walked, they are all dead ends.

He must win Bai Luoyin’s trust as soon as possible, build an indestructible and revolutionary friendship with him, after that, he will slowly reveal the truth to him.

“Our family had never celebrated moon festival, the most we did was buying one kilogram of moon cake.”

Bai Luoyin peeked at Gu Hai from the corner of his eyes, he noticed a special kind of aura from him, it is not the kind of aura that can be emitted by a person from a poor and ordinary family.

Gu Hai shifted to one side and propped his hand behind the back of his head, looking at Bai Luoyin in interest.

“How about your family?”

Bai Luoyin smiled faintly, “We eat moon cakes of course.”

Gu Hai caught the sight of Bai Luoyin’s smile and guessed that he definitely like to eat moon cakes.

“What kind of moon cake do you like to eat?”

“The one stuffed with egg yolk and lotus seed paste.”

“Why do you like to eat that kind of filling?” Gu Hai expressed his confusion, “It’s not sweet and also not salty, I’m bored eating those.”

Bai Luoyin inclined his gaze towards Gu Hai, “So, what kind of moon cake do you like? Tell me.”

“The one stuffed with ribbonfish.”

“Your family bought a ribbonfish-stuffed one?” Bai Luoyin didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, “Why don’t you say that you’d even eat the one stuffed with sheep tail?”

“The one stuffed with sheep tail smelled very rank.”

Bai Luoyin couldn’t help but to burst in laughter, the moonlight illuminated his smile, intoxicating the heart of a certain person.

“Bai Luoyin.”

“Hm?” Bai Luoyin turned his head to look at Gu Hai

Gu Hai had his back to the moon, the contours of his eyes reflected the increasingly dark and deep background.

“Actually, I’m not like this.”

Bai Luoyin replied neutrally, “Then, what kind of person are you?”

“I’m a very honest and serious person.”

However, that was before I met you, Gu Hai forgot to add these words.

“Gu Hai, from now on, there is no need to say this kind of words anymore, even if you tell me that you are a woman, I’ll probably believe you.”

After taking a few deep breaths, Gu Hai finally digested these words. He saw that Bai Luoyin had already turned his back, he pondered, I won’t let him go to sleep so easily, besides he hasn’t answered the most important question.

“Actually, why does the teacher look for you today?”

Bai Luoyin slightly turned his body around, “Do you stay here today just for the sake of asking me about this thing?”

“It’s not like that, I’m only afraid that if you suppress those feelings inside your heart, it would hurt you.”

An inexplicable feeling rose from Bai Luoyin’s heart, for a time, he was suspicious of Gu Hai’s intention towards him. When you have a conflict with him, he will give you a very hard time, as if he has accumulated his hatred for you for several lifetimes; however, when he is kind to you, he is unreasonably kind, as if he was indebted to you in the previous life… Regarding the matter today, Bai Luoyin thought that he had concealed his feelings very well, so that other people can’t discover it, Bai Han Qi doesn’t suspect either, yet Gu Hai can see through him.

There are times when Bai Luoyin felt that Gu Hai resembled an insane person, but when facing this insane person, it’s inevitable that there will be a kind of indescribable trust. Supposed if that ‘wine in, truth out’ night [1] was counted as a coincidence, then his impulse to pour out his heart right now won’t be able to deceive people anymore.

Regardless of his previous doubts, those are currently unimportant, he only needs a close and understanding friend.

“I’ve told you that my mom remarried, right?”

Gu Hai nodded his head, “Yeah, you’ve mentioned before.”

“Today that man came to find me, inviting me to move in and live with them.”

“Did you agree?”

Bai Luoyin asked a rhetorical question, “Do you really think that I’ll agree?”

You really deserve to be called my bro!… Gu Hai secretly expressed his approval, both of them have the same kind of bitter experience, they ought to share a common hatred for the enemy.

“The thing that irks me the most is his manner when he was talking to me, he compared me with his son, boasted about his son excessively, and then use it to contrast with how shortsighted thinking my thinking is. Do you know? I loathe that kind of person the most, talking pretentiously, as if all the people in this world is inferior to him and they must listen to his orders.”

Fuck… Gu Hai pulled his bed sheet down, these words truly strike the center of his heart.

“I’m also annoyed by that type of person, you don’t need to heed him.”

Bai Luoyin’s voice was dry, “I just can’t accept the way he speaks.”

“If you really can’t accept it, then you can simply curse him, curse his son to get hit by a car and become crippled tomorrow!”

Then a loud sound of crashing could be heard, something had fallen down from the wall and directly plunged onto Gu Hai’s foot.

“Ouch, hey, what’s going on?”

Bai Luoyin hastily turned on the lamp.

The old wall clock that had been hung on the wall for more than thirty years fell down for no reason today. It fell off suddenly and directly hit Gu Hai’s left foot without any mercy. If it were not because of Gu Hai’s healthy body, this fifteen kilogram clock would have really crippled his foot.

Gu Hai furrowed his eyebrows, “Did you do it on purpose? Why does it fall off when I’ve just arrived to sleep here?”

Bai Luoyin laughed until he couldn’t keep his mouth closed, what general, what stepfather, throw the entire Nyima country[2] behind your head, nothing can beat the bad luck that Gu Hai had.

Say, this old clock has been hung for more than thirty years, why does it hit him unexpectedly?

Translator Note:

[1] ‘wine in, truth out’ night refers to chapter 29, the night where Bai Luoyin got really drunk on the street stall and  spilled his heart out to Gu Hai, the one where Gu Hai piggybacked him home.

[2] Nyima is the name of a county in central Tibet.
