You’ve lost all self conscience
A day later, in an attempt to avoid Yuan Zong, Xia Yao made a decision to travel by bicycle. With a slightly bowing stature and hands holding the handle, Xia Yao’s pure white shirt blew in the wind, showing off the intermittent appearance of his smooth underbelly.
His straight and long legs were in a state of shrinking and stretching as they harmonized with the rhythm of his movement on the paddles. Looking at it from the sideline, the movements were executed in a very artistic manner as he continued to maintain a steady balance ahead.
As he passed by vehicles along the road, all eyes, especially those of the ladies, would peered out from the window in his direction, mesmerized by his gracefulness. If those affection gazes could be described in only two words, it would be:
After properly parking his bike in the lot, Xia Yao ran into a colleague name Chang Tian.
“The heck! What’s up with the bike?”
Xia Yao obviously had no intention of telling his peer that he was trying to escape from a crazy stalker, so he simply replied, “Exercising.”
“It’s not necessary for a guy like you.” Chang Tian said before he slapped Xia Yao’s ass, “Building some muscles for this baby?”
Xia Yao’s expression did not show any sign of satisfaction, “Are you trying to make it flat?”
“Oops! Forgot about that.” Chang Tian smiled.
“Master Xia, you hate being touched, hate touching people, and hate seeing others naked in front of you. What would happen if you have a wife?”
Xia Yao slapped Chang Tian’s neck, “Is that any of your business?”
After several lengthy hours at work, Xia Yao left from the back gate with the intent to take a quick glimpse at the parking lot first. Sure enough, his bike was still there. He glanced at the main gate, only to find a familiar car parked there. It was as if the car itself has been waiting for him the entire time. Xia Yao curiously stared at the figure inside. Narrowing his eyes at Yuan Zong, he then stretched his legs out and started to bike away.
As Yuan Zong followed behind with his car, his scorching gaze settled on those round, luscious buttocks, bumping rhythmically against the bike seat. This was indeed a mouth watering sight to the spectator.
Having reached a turn, Xia Yao unexpectedly swerved into a desolate small alley. Then he slowed down his bike just the slightest and turned towards Yuan Zong for a glance. With one of his brows slightly arched, he gave him a sexy lopsided smile, “Come over here if you have the guts! It would be strange if I ran over you!”
Yuan Zong pulled over at the entrance of the alley. Xia Yao frowned as he put his foot on the clutch, with the intention of gathering speed in an attempt to escape from the other man’s eyes. But as a result, the clutch wouldn’t budge. As he made an effort to speed up a second time, a crackling sound suddenly blared out. To his dismay, something was broken.
After sitting down to check where the car was for a moment, Xia Yao’s eyes turned bloody red.
The bike’s chain had been cut.
Xia Yao flew into a fit of rage before he gritted his his teeth together.
Are you hoping to hear me beg you to give me a lift so that you can easily press your gift on me? I’m a man! And this man is neither willing to turn around nor take a step into that filthy car. I can take care of myself.
And so, Xia Yao started to walk instead with his bike at his side.
Running across another turn, he encountered a deep and uncovered hole with a sign in front of it reading, “Work in progress”.
Seeing that, Xia Yao felt as if he had been punched in the face. He slammed his hand on the bike handle in anger.
A couple minutes later, Xia Yao turned back around and made his way back towards the entrance of the alley. Yuan Zong was still there, looking squarely at Xia Yao with a smirk on his face.
Xia Yao let a gently smile play along the lines of his lips as he ran up towards the car and knock on the window. Just as Yuan Zong rolled the window down, Xia Yao used all the strength he could mutter and heaved his bike at him.
Still consumed with rage, Xia Yao yelled at the top of his lungs. It was so loud that each and every corners of the street was enveloped with his voice, “Stop having such a thick skin!!”
Having thrown the bike in such a spectacular manner, he immediately jetted off in an escape.
Watching his figure fade away, a fugitive smile could not help by play out on Yuan Zong’s lips.
When Xia Yao returned home at night, his mother immediately notice that his bike was missing.
“Where is your bike? Weren’t you riding it this morning?” Xia Yao’s mother showed her curiosity the moment he arrived.
“Oh…” Xia Yao forced a laugh, “There’s something wrong with the pedals. It’s being fixed.”
“You are so reckless! It is a high quality bicycle. How could you have broken the pedals already?”
Xia Yao saw through the fury in his mother’s criticism. All he could do was to mentally stick out his tongue, hold his peace and rush towards his room.
As satisfied as he was in throwing his bike at that person, he couldn’t help but resigned to the regretful feeling hovering him.
Other than his “Mother Dowager”(1), no one could scare Xia Yao to death. Despite the conventional thought that, “bad mothers teach bad children”, his family was the exception. Although, he was the only son, his mother would never take it easy on him. It was his mother’s rod that became his upbringing.
(1)”Mother Dowager: A particular status that a prince gave to his mother who was also the queen during China’s medieval period. In the story, it is a sweet-sounding name that Xia Yao used to call his mom.
Xia Yao’s mother always cracked down on her only son. Mrs. Xia always forced her son into apologizing to children with whom he brawled without using her conscience. However big his family’s fortune was, Xia Yao was never given the permission to squander even a penny. Therefore, his monthly salary of 6000 yuan was always accompanied by an invoice.
The bike costed more than 1000 yuan, how was he supposed to say he had thrown it away? What will happen if “Mother Dowager” found out?
Can he ask Yuan Zong for the bike back? Not on his life! Xia Yao would rather be beaten by his mother than actively get in touch with that fox!
Whatever, he’ll just borrow some money tomorrow and buy a new bike.
