Jiang Cheng considered Lao Xu to be quite responsible, but he really didn’t want to say anything, nor did he even know how to say it. Even if he made an effort to explain – because the person who lashed out from a single comment by another person was him – if he wanted to clearly explain the situation, he would have to simultaneously explain too many other things in the process, things he had no will to confront.

Wang Xu’s family restaurant had always been crowded in the early morning and to get a flatbread or two for breakfast was a great pleasure, if possible. When they arrived only to see that there was already no place to sit, they ended up sitting in the room where the family personally ate in.

“There are no donkey meat fillings this early. They’re normally made in the noontime,” Wang Xu said and brought over two baskets of stuffed flatbreads and a bowl of lamb soup. “Did you two leave together this morning?”

His previous school also had a forum but it wasn’t frequent much; after all, it was a key high school where the teachers fell short of actually holding metal detectors to scan each individual student for mobile phones the second they entered through the gate every day. The outfit itself was pretty good-looking if you ignored the jacket: slim-fitted pants and a loose black T-shirt, and although it was also that of knitted material, at the very least it was the kind that wouldn’t lure the masses to gape at when worn outside.

But as soon as he put this jacket on, he froze and looked back at Gu Fei. “Hey, are you sure I didn’t get the wrong clothes?”

Class 5 was the most powerful team last year after all. Although Jiang Cheng and Gu Fei were caught off guard because they were not psychologically prepared to be suddenly on the court, they slowly adapted after running for several rounds, and even had targeted defense against them.

Unlike Class 8, which only relied on two main players’ cooperation, Class 5 had no particularly top-notch players, but their skills were even out that even the substitutes were better than Wang Xu.

Gu Fei was riding his motorcycle toward Liu Fan’s house when his phone sounded. He plugged in an earbud and answered the call; Ding Zhuxin’s voice resonated from the other end. “Not bad, kid. You’re really not showing up?”

“No, I…” Gu Fei then remembered the message Ding Zhuxin had sent a while ago. “Forgot. How about I head over now, where are you?”
